Payment Information & Tuition Policies

An annual $40 per family registration fee will be automatically charged to all 2025-2026 fall registrations. We will manually charge your account if you are a returning student once we receive class registration. There is no registration fee for summer camps. This fee is charged once per family, per calendar year and is non-refundable. SCDC reserves the right to place all students in classes according to age, ability level, and experience. We ask that all children be the age required for the class by October 1st. Tuition fees for the fall season will start on August 4^th The dance season will consist of 10 months of classes with an average of 35-36 weekly class sessions from August 2025 to May 2026. We offer a monthly payment option for your convenience.

Monthly tuition rates are $50 for a 30-minute class, $55 for a 45-minute class, $70 for a 1-hour class, and $85 for a 1.5-hour class. All add-on classes are discounted $10 per class. We offer an unlimited tuition rate of $235 per month. Our office staff will change this manually once you have surpassed this amount. All boys will be charged ½ price for each class. We offer a 10% sibling discount for those families who have more than one child enrolled. This discount will be taken off the less expensive class.

Monthly tuition is based on the average of 3.6 classes per month and is the same price for all 10 months. We go into eachaccount and manually adjust the tuition when there are multiple classes/students once we receive the registration. Somemonths have as few as 3 weeks, others have as many as 5.

You are not paying for scheduled school vacations and holidays. Our calendar is based on the Lexington School DistrictOne Calendar. We will follow the district calendar for Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break. We will beOPEN for all other holidays. In the event of inclement weather, we will send a studio-wide email and post on our socialmedia regarding closings.

All tuition payments are due on the 1st of every month unless otherwise specified. Our FREE auto billing system isrequired and will be automatically charged on the 1st unless you pre-pay BEFORE the DUE DATE at the front office. Ourautomatic billing system accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We accept Cash, Check, Visa, American Express andMasterCard in our office. We accept alternate credit card payments via phone. All tuition and company fees are non-refundable.

In September, you will be charged a $65 costume deposit for each enrolled dance class. If you do not wish to order acostume and participate in the recital, you must let us know via email before September 1st to avoid being charged. Anyremaining costume balance will be charged with October tuition. The balance can range from $5 to $65. All studentsregistering after October 1st will automatically be charged the full costume fee upon registration. Costumes must be paidin full before ordering. We cannot guarantee costumes that are ordered late will arrive on time for picture week. Costumeswill not be ordered after February 1^st. Competition team members will be charged a minimum of tuition and company fees automatically. Other fees may be added throughout the month and should be paid before the due date to avoid automatically being charged. We will make every effort to notify you if you have an unusually large balance before we charge the card. Cards that are charged multiple times a month may be charged additional fees.

Payments for tuition & other items may be made online, at the office, or by mail. When making a payment by check, please include the dancer’s first and last name in the memo of your check so we may credit the proper account. If paying with cash, please include the dancer’s first and last name on an attached piece of paper. We can accept cash & check payments if they are paid prior to the due date, or our system will automatically charge your credit card or bank account on file on the due date if there is any balance. We have a returned check fee of $35.
