Founded in 2004 by Danyele Gardner, South Carolina Dance Company was designed to give a complete dance education to children and adults. With a highly qualified and committed professional faculty, we take pride in offering a complete quality dance curriculum for all ages and levels in the arts. SCDC offers Parties, Summer Classes, Fall dance classes of all genres and for all ages (including Ballroom/Shag classes/Zumba Fitness for adults), Voice, Acting, Musical Theater, and Pageantry/Modeling. SCDC students perform and volunteer within the community in charity events, fundraisers, church programs, theater performances, festivals, pageants, and dance competitions. Responsibility, discipline, modesty, and integrity are taught as important elements of every child’s life at SCDC.

Payment Information For Dance Programs
Our 10 month School-Year Program tuition is based on the number of hours a student takes each week and may be paid by the month or year. All vacations and holidays have been taken into account. Monthly tuition rates will remain the same regardless of the number of weeks in each month. Yearly Payment Plans are not available after 9/18/08. Monthly tuition is due the first of each month regardless of attendance and is delinquent after the 5th of the month. A $10 late fee will be charged to your account if tuition is not received by the 5th of the month. We do not bill unless your account becomes delinquent. There will be a $35 charge to your account for any check returned by your bank for any reason. Parents are responsible for any legal or collection fees that are accrued due to
delinquent accounts. Accounts becoming 2 months past due will be turned over to a collection agency. An Annual Account registration fee of $35 per family is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable.
Dance Attire Required By South Carolina Dance Company
All students are required to wear the appropriate dance attire to class. Reminder that ballet students must a black color leotard with their hair in a tightly secured bun. Please do not wear dance shoes outside and wear cover-up uniforms over dance clothes before leaving the studio. This keeps us modest and safe. T-shirts and cheerleading shorts are not permitted in any class. No street clothes,shoes, or jewelry are allowed for any class. Hair must be off the face and secured down for ALL dance classes (tap, jazz, clogging, musical theater, hip-hop, lyrical classes) and in a proper bun for all ballet classes. Combination students must wear black or pink dance clothing and hair must be off the face and secured down (you do not have to wear a bun).Thank you for your compliance and support on these policies.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are available for those students who would prefer one-on-one instruction with a teacher. Rates may vary per instructor. Privates may be scheduled through the instructor or Front Desk staff.
Dance Competition Awards and Trophies
Certificates and pins are given to every student upon completion of each dance year. Trophies are given to students who complete 3, 5, 7, 10 and 15 years of training. Years accumulated from other schools are transferable.
Birth Day Parties and Studio Rental
The South Carolina Dance Company’s studio is available for birthday parties. The cost is $50 per hour. You provide your own decorations and refreshments. The Studio may also be available for rental to individuals and/or groups for dance rehearsals (as space permits) at the rate of $50 per hour.
